When your baby is born, chances are there will be a ton of people wanting all of the details of your birth and the arrival of your newborn! Being a new mom or dad is a busy time, and you probably don’t want to spend all of your time fielding phone calls from well wishing but inquisitive family members and friends. Having birth announcements made is the best way to make that information available to everyone at once! While documenting hundreds of newborns, babies, and families, and designing stacks of birth announcements we came up with a few of the most common things to include in your birth announcement:

If you have twins, you can use the same information on one card and just include both weights and lengths. Keep it short and sweet and only include what information you feel is necessary. Prep before the birth by having envelopes already addressed to ease your strain afterwards. Your friends and family will understand if they don’t get out right away so take your time and send them out whenever your ready! If you think it’s going to be a few weeks or months before you can get the official announcements out, go ahead and make a social media post with the information, or send out a mass email to answer everyone’s questions in the mean time while you and you newborn get settled. If you want to be the first or the only person to share the news online, remind family members before they can get to it first! You could even create specific page just for family and friends so that they can relieve all of the information firsthand.
The birth of your new little one is a beautiful and amazing time! Don’t let the magic be taken away by stress to get the information out to everyone separately when you can use birth announcements to easily get out whatever information you and your spouse want to share!
