What do I wear for my photo shoot?

One of the most common questions I am asked is, “What do I wear during my photo session?” As a Full Time Family Photographer, who specializes in children, newborns, and family photography. I’ve created Session Guides for all of my clients, so they know EXACTLY what to wear and how to best prepare for their Session.

When answering this question, it definitely depends on the style and person that is being photographed, but let’s get to the basics.

1. The Basics
More than likely your session will be around 45-minutes. With that being said, you will definitely want to be in comfortable attire, everything from your article(s) of clothing to your shoes! :)

2. Complimentary vs. “Matchy Matchy”
Try and go for something that compliments your best feature, as well as colors that compliment each other.

**Note: If you are doing a session with your loved one(s), one good thing to be cautious of is matching. My advice is go for outfits that compliment each other and stay away from looking identical to your loved one(s). 

3. The little things
Last but not least, add an accent, throw in a scarf, hat, belt and/or a piece of your favorite jewelry! Sometimes it’s the littlest things, that make the biggest difference. For more details on What to Wear Jewelry, [CLICK HERE]
