Maternity Photography Photographer Yorba Linda

This past Tuesday I had the opportunity to meet Randi and Kyle for their Maternity Photography Session here in Yorba Linda. I first heard about them when they submitted a photo for our Annual Couples Contest for 2014. We host the contest once a year and get the opportunity to meet such amazing people through it. It’s sort of our way of giving back!

This year Randi and Kyle came in first place. One of the reasons I was so excited when I tallied the votes, and they came in first was the fact that they’re expecting their first baby. A baby boy.

Obviously just having a baby six and a half months ago this was so exciting for me to meet someone new, who is about to venture down this path of motherhood.

Randi and Kyle were such a blast to get to know. With their easy going personalities and fun dynamic, it was so much fun to see and hear them interact. It’s easy to see why they’re made for each other. They compliment each other so well and I absolutely loved getting the chance to know them throughout our session.

As we walked through the park I was so skeptical about where Randi should sit. Being in a park you have to scout out and make sure there’s no ant trails to step on, spiders hanging off trees, and that the lighting hits perfectly. Needless to say, I was on alert to make sure she didn’t have to walk too much, but she was such a champ! I was practically on bed rest for most of my pregnancy and here Randi was walking throughout the park, rocking her sweet baby and so easy going. Her husband Kyle was such a team player as well! He helped carry her bag, got involved in the photographs, especially with some of the props they brought along.

It was a great session, and I love when my Clients are extremely just natural, and themselves in front of the camera!

At the beginning of every Session we ask for a few details about the Couple to get to know more about them, what they enjoy doing and what they want as an end result for their images. One of the things in the questionnaire Randi asked for was Wall Galleries with a series of portraits for her bedroom, family room and hall/staircase. So, we shot the session catered to that. We ask these type of questions in order to give us a better understanding on what our Clients end result so we know the best way to document their session. Being a Full Service Studio allows us to take the extra time in telling a story throughout each session images so that it displays the perfect story on our Clients walls, through their images.
