Newborn Photography Yorba Linda

He made his entrance on a beautiful Saturday morning. Although he was scheduled to come that next Monday, he made an early entrance to the world to meet his mommy, daddy, and big sister for the first time. It was truly an exciting time and a quick labor. Mom is happy about that one. I don’t think he could wait any longer to meet and join his fun-loving family!

On a warm and overcast day in Yorba Linda, Jacob’s mommy and daddy decided it would be the perfect time to get their newborn photos done to capture their little boy as small as he’d ever be. We met up at a beautiful park and let daddy and big sister play while mommy and I settled little Jacob in for the perfect newborn photography.

As The S family arrived, this little 9-day old quickly let us know he was not ready for a photo shoot just yet. Being a natural light photographer, it’s crucial that we shoot when the sun is up. In natural light however, Jacob had different plans. He decided it would be best to stay awake throughout the entire session, and fall asleep at sunset making it so that we had to get really creative, and all of the shots within 15 minutes of it being dark out. It definitely helped me grow as a photographer which means Jacob already seems to enjoy lending a helping hand to bring creativity to peoples lives.

It was so much fun watching Kristen be a mommy to her first baby boy, and I am so excited to share a few of the images from their Outdoor Newborn Photo Session in Yorba Linda.
