Senior Pictures Yorba Linda

Seniors are always so much fun to work with, not only are they pretty easy going, but they’re usually up for trying new things during the photos, they have confidence, they’re spontaneous, and most of the time, they love the camera.

Katie’s mom reached out to us online after hearing about us throughout Yorba Linda, I thought to myself, “That’s pretty cool”.

As we started planning the session and talking about locations I just knew that this was going to be a good session.

Katie met me at a beautiful open field to document her senior portraits for her high school graduation and to have the perfect images for announcement cards. This girl is beyond photogenic and was such a champion walking through this field of beautiful trees, foxtails, flowers, and wood chips. She was up for anything and brought multiple outfit changes for a few different looks. We also just had to incorporate her awesome mom and adorable dog, Maggie, for a few portraits.

This session made me realize that not only do I love documenting Senior Portraits, but there’s something so powerful about a Senior Photo Session, it’s documenting a son or daughter right before they head to college and start a brand new chapter of their life, on their own. It is more often than not the last time a family will be documented all together before the parents’ little ones fly away from the nest and start their own careers, and soon after that their own families. Photographing this senior session reminded me how important it is to savor the moments of little ones because they will soon be off to college before we know it.

We’ll be spending the next few days designing her album, announcement cards, and ordering her beautifully strengthened prints so she can gift them to grand parents, family, and take a few with her to college. :)
