How do I take care of my canvas print? (4 easy steps)

7. Canvases and Gallery Wraps

So, you got your photos done with Kincannon Photography. You had a great experience and filled your walls with gorgeous reminders of your family’s love for each other. You chose to do this in the form of creations on canvases to decorate the walls of your home. You love the way it looks in your home, but now you need to know how to keep them well maintained. How do you keep them clean? What if you get older and you want to replace them with more recent photos; what do you do with the ones on the walls and how do you store them?

I’m glad you are asking yourself those questions. I say that because it means that you care about taking care of the things that can mean the most; not just to you, but to the generations after you who want to look back on their times with you. So, let’s answer those for you!

Here is a quick overview of the best, fastest, and easiest ways to take care of your canvas(es) in 4 easy steps:

Step 1: So Fresh and So Clean – the most routine of maintenance that you can do for your canvas is to keep it well dusted. Simply use either a soft bristled paint brush or a slightly damp cloth to keep the dust bunnies away.

Step 2: Stop Being So Harsh – avoid harsh chemicals at all costs. If you need a deeper clean, contact and art shop to find a pro who can professionally clean your artwork for you and not damage it.

Step 3: Location, Location, Location – make sure and avoid hanging your canvas in the bathroom or other higher humidity areas. Make sure and always hang your canvas in a low humidity area that has fewer temperature variations.

I hope this post had been short, sweet, and to the point for you. Now go out there and save your canvases!

If you don’t have any canvases to protect, then what are you waiting for? Contact us here and let’s have a conversation with you about what we can do for family session!

Sincerely,
