Huntington Beach Wedding Photography

This past Monday as I sat in my kitchen filled up to my neck in boxes my phone rang. On the other line was one of our friends, Stephen Kozowyk, a black and white photographer in Massachusetts. He had told me he was flying out to California for a wedding and needed a second shooter. As I looked around my kitchen to see boxes as far as the eye can see, I said, “Sure. I’m available Friday.” I love helping others, and so when a fellow photographer is in a crunch, I’m happy to help!

Little did I know this would be different from any other wedding I’ve photographed. This wedding was on the sands of Huntington Beach, beneath the blazing sun and the glistening blue ocean. Of course it was on the few days that it was a little over 90 degrees, but that didn’t even seem to phase this happy couple!

Kerri and Chris met through a mutual friend who did “match-making”. They had their first date at a McDonald’s in Barstow since Kerri lived in Nevada and Chris lived in California.

In the end, even distance couldn’t keep these two apart.

Kerri and Chris were married this Friday beneath the sun in Huntington Beach, California. They said their “I Do’s” and immediately after skyped Chris’ Grandmother who was able to watch the wedding on live stream. She’s currently in Japan, but Chris and Kerri didn’t want that to stop her from being a part of their day.

Once their skype session ended, Kerri and Chris were able to enjoy drinks, appetizers, food and cupcakes with their friends and family who all joined together in celebration of Kerri and Chris’ wedding day!
