Adoption Photography Orange County

Children are born with the need to be loved and the Yingling Family is the epitomy of recognizing that and putting that quote into action. I’ve known Karen and Doug for years, in fact. They’re my best friends family. I met them in 2008 and am so glad they asked me to be their adoption photographer and document this monumental time in their lives. The Yingling Family have officially adopted their third little girl from China, and her name is Cami.

It had been a long two weeks when Karen left California to meet Cami for the first time in China and it couldn’t be soon enough that Karen would arrive home on Friday the 23rd of December to bring this sweet little girl home to meet her forever family. The Yinglings had already adopted two other little girls from China, and adopting Cami would make that three beautiful little blessings from God.

This adoption was a huge deal for a variety of reasons one of them being because Cami was severely burned and left on the side of the road at two years old. She stayed in the orphange for seven years and that’s when the Yingling found her and just knew they were called as Christians to adopted this little girl and give her the type of loving family that she deserves.

Karen and Cami came out of customs and began walking towards the family all you could hear is people yelling, “She’s here! She’s here!” There were news cameras all around in celebration of this little girls story, all the lights came on, and there were so many people taking pictures and video. There were about 5 news cameras there.

And the Yingling Family asked me  to document their arrival. I feel so blessed and honored to be able to document such an important moment in time. I GENTLY pushed my way through the news crews to get some shots for the Yingling family.

Cami will be meeting with a doctor to get the surgery she needs next week! So please keep her and the family in prayer as they proceed through this process.

As the news was going I got on me knees at Camis level and waved and said hello to her.. She had the biggest smile. I think it was because in the mist of the craziness someone took the time to not only take her photograph, but to say hello. I was so blessed by that smile from her and it’s something I’ll never forget.

Once we got back home Becky took Cami, (her new sister) and showed her around the house, all the ins and outs and where the toys were. Cami fit right in and made herself at home. It was incredible! I can not wait to see her grow! That night I went into the play room that Becky and her were in and sat down on the floor and looked up at her to say hi. As soon as I did she said “hi” and came down on the ground to me and gave me the biggest hug, she just fell in my arms and wrapped herself around me. It was incredible. This little girl that I had never met acted like she had known me forever.

And Becky! Becky felt like she knew Cami forever, they were best friends before they ever met. My heart just melted.. Becky would look at Cami (Cami-not knowing english yet) and she would say, “Cami. I love you” “You are so loved Cami” “I love your hair Cami” Your such a good sister Cami”. The sisterly love just melted my heart.
