It can be a daunting task to find a Boise Family Photographer. Word of mouth helps, but sometimes either your friend hired the wrong photographer in Boise and had a bad experience or they hired the right one for them, but it’s maybe not the right family photographer for you. So, how do you find the right photographer to fit your family? We’ll begin a series of blogs, here is the first helpful tip on finding the perfect photographer for you.
- Focus on quality AND experience.
- One of the big mistakes some families make when searching for a photographer is only focusing on what appears to be a quality photograph. The problem is that sometimes a portfolio of images placed on a photographer’s website may only highlight the 5 best images that the photographer has ever produced, but they couldn’t tell you exactly how they could capture that image again. It’s a sad situation, but it’s true; not just with family photographers in Boise, but all across the US and beyond. For this reason, when looking at a gallery of images on a photographer’s website it’s important to look for consistency in colors, editing, and style through their portfolio when choosing a photographer. It is extremely important to see a handful of work from a variety of different sessions to ensure you love their work enough so that when you have that photographer take your family pictures, you love their style enough to hang on the walls of your home.
- When choosing a photographer, take a look at how long a photographer has been in business. Have they been in business for 5 years, 10 years, or longer? Is the photographer you’re choosing full time and does it for a living, or are they part-time? The photographers’ experience in the industry and whether they are part-time or full-time may help you when choosing the right photographer for your memories.
- Is your photographer of choice currently growing in terms of education to grow in their work each year
- What are their reviews like from their clients over the years?
