How do I frame my pictures?
By Orange County Photographer, Kincannon Photography
Framing is an important subject to cover and here’s why:
Imagine that you have a priceless picture that you placed in a frame. The reason it’s priceless is because of the people who are in it. They are your grandparents who are no longer around, but the beautiful image you have stored away in a frame captures who they are so well, that you couldn’t live without it.
No imagine that you decided to switch the picture to another frame because it would just look better. Maybe the older frame is starting to look a little worn out and you want to highlight the image of your grandparents with a better frame option.
You take off the backing to the framed portrait, then grab the picture by the corner and proceed to take it out. There’s just one problem, it rips! You didn’t know that, somehow, the picture had stuck to the glass and now you’re left with the pieces of a picture that meant so much to you. What can you do to make it so that this never happens to your children or their children?
I’m glad you asked.
Here at Kincannon Photography, we make sure that the artwork we create for you is going to last as long as humanly possible by doing a couple things.
First, we make sure that we order prints through our lab that are specially coated to endure the test of time. Second, we ensure that we only frame your portraits in high-quality frames, with acid-free products and UV protected glass to prevent deterioration of your picture over time. Third, we mat your print inside of the frame, which keeps it away from the glass so that it doesn’t stick to it over time because of moisture, along with it giving it an elegant look.
Finally, when we are your photographer of choice, we make sure that the image touches a limited number of hands before it reaches the framing process so that there are a limited number of outside environments that will influence the longevity of your beautiful artwork.
If you’re ready to not only have amazing portraits of your family that will make you cry with joy and pride, but also have a professional handle your portraits with the care that it takes for them to last for generations, then reach out to us at Kincannon Photography by clicking here and let’s get started in preserving your memories.
