Making a house a home : The Brauning’s Session Pt. 2

Imagine with me for a moment that you are sitting on your living room couch. Relaxing and staring at a blank wall, when suddenly 5 boxes appear in what used to be an empty space. What would you fill those boxes with? One family had just that opportunity. We’ll tell you what they did, but first, here’s a little bit about their journey through their Premiere, and how we were able to help make their house a home.

The Brauning’s family hadn’t had a family portrait in their home since before their son was born. Here they were three years later and the only proof that they in fact had a child living in their home was a scattered grouping of toys on the ground. All that was about to change.

Stepping into the Brauning’s home was more than welcoming to say the least. Knowing this family for so long and then having the privilege of unveiling photographs from their family photo session with gorgeous artwork for their home, (which you will see below) was such a blessing, and filled the air with excitement.

We poured through the images in their home while watching the slideshow and making selections of the memories that stood out the most to them. While they loved so many of the images, they were able to narrow it down to the five that they wanted to illuminate the walls of their home.

As we walked through the process of discriminately selecting what type of art they would like to adorn their home with, we settled on five canvas pieces to create a story of their day together. The middle piece would be a 1.5” gallery wrap, surrounded by four thin gallery wraps, which would float ever so elegantly half an inch from the wall, thus creating a very stylish composition to their wall decor and play a role in making their house a home.

As we’ve noticed with when getting our pictures done, as well with the families we’ve documented, choosing just 5 images is a bit hard so don’t worry, 5 canvases isn’t all they got. The Brauning Family also added a box of beautifully strengthened and edited prints in a variety of sizes, as well as the digital collection of the images that took place during their session. Needless to say, I was eager to place their order with our lab and couldn’t wait to drop off their new artwork to their home.

When I returned a couple weeks later to deliver their magnificent wall décor to their home, I think I was probably just as beaming with excitement as they were. Gently pulling each canvas out of the box and showing them their images, I explained how the lab we use hand wraps each canvas and coats them with a protective coating that allows it to be resistant to UV rays, as well as normal weather transitions. We like to make sure that our clients are well taken care of since we are handling their memories and future heirlooms.

As I left that day, I was proud to be a part of the Kincannon Photography team. Having the ability to deliver a quality products and create such a memorable experience makes me love what I do each and every day.

Now, I know you’ve been waiting patiently for it, so is the wall décor that now graces the walls of their home.

If you would like to experience the same process that we take each and every one of our clients through, like we did with the Brauning’s, then we would love to have that opportunity. Contact us by clicking here today!
