One day at church Jacob brought up the fact that we do photography, I jokingly said, “Well, when you’re planning on proposing, let us know!” He then said, “I’m planning on proposing this Friday.” Sometimes, it’s hard to tell if Jacob is joking, or serious so I laughed and said, “Really?” Sure enough, he was. It was a week of pretending, and watching his plans for his soon to be bride unfold.

It was a long time coming as he continually told her that although he’d definitely proposal to her sometime in the future, it wouldn’t be on their anniversary because she’d suspect it. After Jacob reached out to me we chatted about all of the details, including the best type of outfits to wear, because I mean really… it’s super important that you look and feel your best for both parties involved. After all, these portraits will last a lifetime. As we documented his Proposal Photography Newport Beach session, she had no idea.

The day began early in the morning and lasted through the evening, where they ended it in Newport Beach.
