Baptism

Personal Blog Post

One of the best things about being a professional full time photographer is that we get the pleasure of knowing great photographers to document our once in a life time moments, or we’re able to document our own moments.

This weekend while we were listening to the sermon, I heard God speak to me. So, I decided to listen and take action. With that, I wanted Jeremiah to document what I was about to do. That way, in the midst of hard times and challenges, I would have a picture that I could look at and know that all I have to do is trust in God, listen, and follow him.

Macchiato & his Grandfather

We are so blessed that people have stepped up to be apart of our sons life. Macchiato has so many people that love him, cherish him and support him. We are definitely blessed by those who love, care and will never leave our sons side.

Don’t judge me based on my hair! :( haha

Okay, so apparently it is not normal to introduce yourself to the pastor before you’re about to be baptised. But seriously, I had to personally introduce myself and shake his hand, that way I could build some sort of quick relationship with someone who was about to place me under water.

After I got out of the water, before I even dried off Jeremiah and my dad gave him a huge hug, and of course ended up pretty wet. That’s real love.

Afterwards my dad took us to lunch. It was so cool to have my Dad and Cindy drive down, LAST MINUTE and witness me taking that next step in my Christian faith.

The first time I accepted Jesus I was extremely young. My dad and I were driving with my brothers in a truck and he was telling us all about Jesus. It was such a blessing to have him there for this monumental moment!

I’m also so proud of Jeremiah for documenting this experience. Especially because it was around 2:00pm when the lighting was harsh. His first time documenting in harsh lighting and he did a wonderful job!
