How to Preserve Memories during your Summer Vacation | Photographer Newport Beach
So, you booked your summer vacation and you can’t wait for it to arrive. Did you choose somewhere nice? Did you make sure that when it said, “Beach Front Room”, it didn’t really mean that the hotel is currently flooded? I hope you did :)
You’ve got your bags packed in your mind already and you already know what pictures you have to have when you get back home. But wait…what’s the best way to preserve those images so that they last?
Well, that is exactly what we’re going to cover here today.
How to take pictures on vacation | Orange County
Let’s start out with the first step: How to capture the moments from your trip so you don’t miss any.
There are a few different things you can do to accomplish this. For instance, if you have access to social media wherever you’re going, then consider creating a dedicated Instagram account just for your trip. Or, you can even just create a hashtag like #KincannonMauiTrip. In this way, when you get done with your trip, all of your images are neatly packaged in one, nice little area. Either you have the one Instagram account you can access or you can search for #KincannonMauiTrip and it will bring up all of your images associated with that hashtag. When using a smartphone to capture the images, consider using an Iphone 6s, if your an Apple person or the Nexus 6P if you’re an Android user. These two phones have been rated to have the best overall image experiences when it comes to smartphone photography.
To do or not to do | Carrying a camera while on vacation
If you happen to be of the photography purist persuasion and like to carry the camera bag on your side and camera looped around your neck, then more power to you. Just make sure that at the end of each day you are backing up those images in as many places as you can. There are too many things that can go wrong on a trip and the last thing you want is to drop your drop your camera into the Grand Canyon and lose the memories you captured on the trip along with the nice camera.
Professional Preserving Memories on your Family Vacation
Finally, if you are looking for a more professional way to preserve your memories from you trip, then consider hiring a professional photographer from where you are visiting. Whether it’s a professional photographer in Newport Beach, Yorba Linda, San Juan Capistrano, or Orange County in general, as an example, hiring a professional photographer can help you out in a few different ways.
Why professionally preserving your memories with a photographer
First, it allows you to have your memories captured without you being left out of all of the photos! Think back on all of those moments you captured that you wish you could’ve been apart of. Wouldn’t it be nice to be apart of them?
Second, you are allowing a professional to do what they do best. We’ve all been there, where we grab our camera or phone to snap a quick picture of something amazing, only to have it show up blurry, overexposed, or, God forbid, we left the lens cap on. How nice would it be to avoid that happening again, am I right?
Third, it allows you to simply enjoy your family and your time together. When we get caught up in capturing something from the outside, we miss out on living in the moment with our family. Life is too short to miss those opportunities.
The final thing that hiring a professional photographer does for you, is it gives you the opportunity to use a professional printing lab to print, frame, and create lasting memories to hand down for generations to come. A professional photographer will be able to point you in the direction of the best selections for what will fit you and you family best, instead of just sending you some digital files over the internet that could get lost or damaged tomorrow.
So, as your thinking ahead to vacations, whether in the winter, spring, summer or fall, remember to apply these tips to get the most out of your trip and preserve your memories for a lifetime. Happy shooting!
