Why is an album so important?

Imagine with me for a second that you’re sitting on the couch with your family. You’re all curled up, nice and cozy, on a cold, winter’s night as you reach for an old, worn out family album. This isn’t your family album, but rather a family album that has been passed down from your grandparents from when they were growing up.

As you grasp the cold, hard cover in your hand and turn gently to the first page, you notice that the pages are blank. “What? How could this be?”, you say. You frantically begin turning page after page, only to realize that you are staring at a blank album, void of any memories.

Now, imagine your son or daughter in that place, or even your grandchildren. They are left with no story of who their parents and grandparents were and how much family meant to them.

This is why albums are so important. They give you, and more importantly your kids and grand kids, a glimpse into where they came from and the love of the family that raised them up. I would guess that there is no way that you would ever want to leave them with that big of a void to have to try and fill-in-the-blank on.

So, for  you and for generations to come, think about what you’re going to leave behind to tell your story.
